March 7, 2022

In light of recently-announced updates to COVID-19 protocols at NC State, we thought it would be helpful to summarize their impact on ITRE’s in-person activities, classes and trainings.

An important reminder

Please remember that you should stay home if you are not feeling well, even if your symptoms are mild. Even if we reach a point where COVID is no longer circulating widely, we should do everything possible to avoid exposing each other to any contagious illness.

COVID-19 protocol updates

The bottom line for ITRE is that as of March 7, no one is required to wear a face covering in most spaces on the NC State campus. Please note, the choice to continue wearing a mask is open to all—and is, in fact, encouraged. Quoting from the latest protocol update: “Although face coverings will no longer be required in most campus spaces, all university community members are encouraged to continue wearing them indoors, especially in instructional settings.”
