About NC LTAP
Established in 1986, NC LTAP was one of the first centers organized after the Federal Highway Administration created the national LTAP program in 1982.

There are 51 LTAP programs in each state and Puerto Rico, in addition to several Native American centers that are part of the Tribal Technical Assistance Program (TTAP). LTAP centers provide access to training and information that may not have otherwise been accessible. Centers provide local road departments with work force development services, resources to enhance safety and security, solutions to environmental, congestion, capacity and other issues, technical publications, and training videos and materials.
