2007 International Conference on Ecology and Transportation
The 2007 International Conference on Ecology and Transportation was conducted May 20-25, 2007 in Little Rock, Arkansas, with more than a dozen countries participating in the technical program. Selected video files are now available: view ICOET media files.

 National Broadcast Series/CTE Webcasts
CTE produces an annual series of nationally televised satellite broadcasts (and Web simulcasts) featuring expert panel discussions on emerging research and policy issues in the transportation/environmental field. The April 19, 2007 CTE National Broadcast was on the Overview of the Final Rule on Metropolitan and Statewide Transportation Planning. This was the fourth in CTE's series of SAFETEA-LU programs on the final rulemaking associated with the planning provisions.

     Context Sensitive Solutions
    Developed first for the NC Department of Transportation, Context Sensitive Solutions is a classroom-based training program distinctive in both its range and depth. CTE training covers Context Sensitive Solutions for transportation planning, project development and design, right of way, construction, operations and management. Exploring New Frontiers In a major research initiative, CTE directed a team of universities, in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Transportation, to identify new design and operations guidelines related to the impacts of sea-level rise and changing hydrology on transportation infrastructure. >> more on this topic
