National
Broadcast Series/CTE Webcasts
CTE produces
an annual
series of nationally televised satellite broadcasts (and Web
simulcasts) featuring expert panel discussions on emerging
research and policy issues in the transportation/environmental
field. The April 19, 2007 CTE National Broadcast was on the Overview of the Final Rule on Metropolitan and Statewide Transportation Planning. This was the fourth in CTE's series of SAFETEA-LU programs on the final rulemaking associated with the planning provisions.

Exploring New Frontiers
In a major research initiative, CTE directed a team
of universities, in cooperation with the U.S. Department of
Transportation, to identify new design and operations guidelines
related to the impacts of sea-level rise and changing hydrology
