This 3-hour training program for air quality personnel discusses the interactions between climate change and air quality programs. Part one of the broadcast explores possible impacts of climate change on air quality and how emissions of criteria pollutants may impact climate. This segment features leading scientists, researchers, and environmental professionals describing multi-pollutant approaches and tools that are addressing those impacts.
The second part of the program highlights two successful initiatives: Connecticut’s Climate Change Action Plan and the Sustainable Skyline Initiative featuring Dallas. This segment features business leaders, elected officials and air quality planners. A question and answer session immediately follows each segment.
The target audience for this broadcast are state, local, and tribal air quality professionals. Others such as city planners and city officials also may find this of interest.
